This is a time of balance
equal day and night
i cup the moon in my left
hold the sun in my right
i dance on the treetops
awake covered in dew
in the fresh mist of morning
everything seems new
i honour the cycle
seasons must turn
embracing the now
is the lesson I learn
grateful for all
that has come to be
patient for what is
yet in store for me
many blessings to all my friends on the new moon and autumn equinox!

it hasn't been too warm and sunny yet up here in the Kootenays,
but I feel the sun's warmth and radiance in my soul.
I participated in a beautiful goodess circle on Sunday night,
celebrating the sagittarian full moon.
I'm sag rising, (a fire sign) and I pulsed with the flames of the sacred fire my sisters built,
and we sang and danced our prayers to the forest and the sky.
With summer solstice coming soon, I know a busy and beautiful season is upon us.
For me, this summer will be filled with road trips, festivals, sunny days and starry nights, good friends and good music.
I'm very excited to be recording a demo CD of my original songs in July.
This is the initial stage towards completing the full album, intended to be released in spring 2007.
I will also be performing at the Komasket Music Festival on Okanagan Lake, at Shambhala Music Festival here in tha Koots, and I also intend to do a cabaret performance at Burning Man!
gratitude to my life partner, family, and my voice within for continually encouraging, supporting, and inspiring me on this path.

The Secret

Last night my partner and I watched a video called "The Secret."
This was because Brian, Zaadz CEO, strongly suggested all his exployees see it.
I found it to be filmed in the same format and style of "What the Bleep,"
but I enjoyed this one a little more. While the people interviewed all seem to repeat each other, the message was clear: the Law of Attraction works, so habituate the practices to manifest what you want to create in yourself and your life.
I myself have been aware of this for years. I can quite easily make things happen for me when I really want them to. So i started wondering after the video, what's blocking me from manifesting all the other things I want but can't seem to make happen?
It comes down to faith. What I believe I can really do or achieve, what I feel I deserve to experience.
So the first step is to ask. Write it down, make some physical to represent your goal. Then visualize it happening. Really believe it. Have faith, things take time, and steadily work towards your goal. The universe will answer the call.
So for me, my big goals for the next 2 years are:
~complete my next CD for release
~get international distribution
~performance tour
~buy land and a home with my partner and
~travel together to South America next year
I really believe I can make these things happen!! I'm going to use "the secret" to get there.

Full Moon Tues. March 14

Happy Full Moon (in Virgo) tomorrow night!
I will be celebrating in my favourite way,
by gathering with kindred spirits to sing and drum,
share stories and laughter.
I intend to activate this Full Moon chanting circle
on a monthly basis now, collaborating with other facilitators
who can host it when I get busy or have to be out of town.
In short, I hope that it takes on momentum without me pushing it.
Why do I think it's special to pay respects to la luna?
well, in her full white face I see a reflection on my divine femininity.
Always shifting, but constant in her changing cycles,
I am reminded of the ebb and flow in all life,
my connection to water, wind, earth, and fire.
I sing to celebrate the Goddess in me and all women.
I dance in honour of the God in all men.
I drum to connect to the earth's heartbeat,
to feel the heat and power in the core.
"We are alive as the Earth is alive.
We have the power to create our own freedom.
If we have courage we can be healers,
Like the sun we shall rise."

come on, get out and howl at the moon,
